Introducing credits: simpler pricing for Bulkgrid

Building with web data rarely means doing just one thing. You might map a website, crawl its pages, search the resulting index, and extract structured information for an application. Your usage changes as your project grows.

We’re introducing credits to make that usage easier to manage. Bulkgrid now brings crawling, mapping, index retrieval, web search, and extraction together under one monthly credit balance.

One balance for the work you need

Your workspace’s credits can be used across all five services. Spend more on crawling when you’re building an index, then use more for retrieval as your application starts answering questions. You decide how to use the balance.

Here’s what each service uses:

• Crawling and processing: 1 credit per page, including indexing.
• Map: 1 credit per request.
• Index retrieval: 1 credit per request.
• Web search: 2 credits per search with up to 10 results.
• Extract: 5 credits per successfully extracted page, including crawling and processing.

A crawl of 100 pages uses 100 credits. If you also process pages returned by a web search, each processed page uses 1 additional credit. Extract’s 5-credit page cost already includes crawling and processing.

Free, Developer, and Pro

Every plan includes a monthly credit allowance:

• Free: 1,000 credits per month at no cost.
• Developer: 10,000 credits per month for $19/month or $190/year, with 3 workspace members included.
• Pro: 100,000 credits per month for $79/month or $790/year, with 10 workspace members included.

All prices are in USD. Annual plans receive the same monthly credit allowance as monthly plans. Enterprise offers custom pricing for larger requirements.

What does 1,000 credits look like?

You could use the Free plan’s monthly allowance to:

• Crawl and index 400 pages: 400 credits.
• Make 300 index retrievals: 300 credits.
• Run 100 web searches: 200 credits.
• Make 50 map requests: 50 credits.
• Extract structured data from 10 additional pages: 50 credits.

That adds up to 1,000 credits. It’s one example of how you can combine services, rather than a separate allowance for each.

Keep control of additional usage

Developer and Pro workspaces can enable additional usage and set a monthly spending cap. Additional credits cost $2.75 per 1,000 on Developer and $1.80 per 1,000 on Pro, billed monthly.

Additional usage is optional. Without it, credit-consuming work pauses when the included balance runs out. With it enabled, the spending cap limits additional charges. Free workspaces can upgrade if they need more credits.

Included credits reset at the start of each calendar month in UTC. Unused credits do not roll over, including on annual plans.
